Ah yes, COVID, I bet you’re sick of hearing it, right? It has stopped life, daily routines, concerts, cinema visits, nights out. But it hasn’t stopped STAG. Overcoming the odds, Student Theatre at Glasgow took their play writing abilities to the - slightly smaller - laptop screen.
A Green New Hope
Recognising the importance of our ongoing climate emergency, G-You was happy to be able to sit down and chat to Green New Deal, a campus group calling on the University Of Glasgow to be more sustainable and transparent.

Best of Beer Bar
Beer. Bar. The combination of two beautiful words sure to catch any student's attention, Beer Bar is a beacon of hope on campus for the weary scholar in search of a cheap pint - or pitcher. A source of many memories (or lack of), Beer Bar definitely brings back old tales from times gone by.
Introducing GUACS and reaching conclusions about Black History Month.
Covid-19, global #blacklivesmatter protests and rising economic inequality. If this year has highlighted anything to us, it is the importance of Black History Month. To move forward for a better tomorrow, we must look both at the past to see how we got here and to look at the present to understand what “here” is.

My Choice, My Cause
There have been cases where students have been left unable to access deadline extensions and exam exemptions, whilst they go through the abortion process. Not only have students’ good cause claims been overlooked entirely but in some cases, the students were actually advised to drop out when they approached the university with claims based on the aforementioned grounds.
Getting your GUU fix
It’s now been two months since the GUU closed its doors as a result of coronavirus, sadly putting a pause on some of the iconic events that happen within its walls. In lieu of the classic post-exam pint in Beer Bar, here’s the rundown of some of the most iconic events the Union has to offer.
IN LOCKDOWN, IT’S THE ‘ORDINARY STUFF’ WE MISS THE MOST.
-
When you get a good seat in the library with a window view on your favourite floor
-
When a really boring lecture ends and you get to leave
-
Spontaneous pints in the middle of the day
-
Queuing for half an hour to get a Paesano (worth it)
