MoGUU..
Is the Union’s official monthly magazine! We are your on-the-ground correspondent for what’s happening in the GUU - the beating heart of campus life - and farther afield in Glasgow. Our content covers everything you need to know: what the GUU can do for you; society events; sports fixtures and results; the arts, music, and cultural scene; as well as crosswords and puzzles, and, of course, our agony aunt, Bridget James’, shoulder to cry on.
Can’t wait to know the results of Wednesday’s BUCS games? Need to hear Bridget’s sage wisdom that bit faster? You can find all our topical articles in the link in our Instagram bio before next month’s volume is even printed.
In addition to our monthly magazine, the GUU Libraries Committee organises a range of fantastic social events throughout the academic year, including open mic nights where you can share your creativity, second hand book sales, a book club, and our famous Bob Ross and Booze nights that let you socialise, have a drink with your mates (from OJ to VK) and paint along with everyone’s favourite art guru. Follow our social media channels or check our website's live noticeboard for details on what we’ll be running.
Interested in writing for MoGUU?
MoGUU is produced, written, and designed by its own dedicated Editorial Team under the GUU Libraries Committee with the help of our contributors and the GUU Board of Management. We welcome writers of all backgrounds and experience levels and encourage any interested student writers to get in touch with their ideas.
We hope to resume our fortnightly in-person contributor meetings as soon as possible, but in the meantime, join the MoGUU Contributors group for more information on our upcoming issues, or send us a message on Facebook or Instagram with your ideas. We look forward to hearing from you!
