A Warm Welcome from our Libraries Convenor…

Are you interested in what Glasgow students think about art, culture, politics, and sport? What they’ve been analysing and theorising? Who amongst us is going to be the next Maya Angelou?

…. Then the GUU Libraries Committee will be right up your street! The Libraries Committee produce all GUU publications: MoGUU, the official union magazine; Groundings, a bi-annual, inter-disciplinary academic journal for undergraduate and postgraduate research, and Fleet, a literary review for students’ creative writing.

We are also responsible for the management of the Union’s two Libraries (the Bridie and the Elliot) where you can study, host events, and peruse our archival collections.Want to get creative? There are regular events run by the Libraries Committee - paint with your friends at Bob Ross and Booze, perform at (or attend) a Slam Poetry Open Mic, or buy your next page-turner at one of our second hand book sales.

Want to get behind the scenes? Apply for our committee to get hands-on experience running a publication or join our pool of writers to showcase your work!
